Episodes – Kitchen Sink University

Classes offered

While this isn’t a standard run-of-the-mill “university” with any form of accreditation or ability to confer degrees, it is a place to gather and share what we know. We also encourage people to submit videos to KSU about things that they know! The point is to augment standard forms of education more than to replace them.

Survival videos, preppers, prepping videos, pandemic preparation, disaster preparation
It’s important to be prepared. We’ll guide you with a few pointers, tips, and life-hacks that can help you survive if things go sideways. And there are pretty good odds that they will…

Logic, cognition, critical thinking, skeptical though videos
One thing that is of the utmost importance that you are seldom able to find in a standard education is classes on logic. The ability to think critically is vital in just about every aspect of life, and prepares you for spotting scams, as well as crafting more convincing arguments.

How-to, self-repair, self-reliance, independence videos
Maybe it sounds a lot like DIY, but sometimes the steps for doing a thing don’t necessarily fit the do-it-yourself category.

Grammar, punctuation, spelling, English composition videos
This one is certainly covered in standard schools, but tends to be one of those things that can be forgotten over time, or devolve into habits of an incorrect nature. Maybe you don’t find it important, but the way you present yourself in a first impression at – say, a job interview – can go a long way if you know what not to say.

Fixing, repairing, DIY, do-it-yourself videos
Pretty self-explanatory. We’ll teach you how to do a variety of things yourself. Some of these will help you save money, while others just make it easier than sitting there reading the manual.

Economics, budgeting, inflation, interest videos
Home “Economics” seems to have lost a great deal of the economics portion. Budgeting and other concepts of handling money have fallen by the wayside, as well as some basic principles to help understand some of the behind-the-scenes of economy. So here are some ideas.

Cooking, cook at home videos, recipes
Basically your standard Martha Stewart stuff. Recipes and visual presentation for some standards, and some unique dishes.

Science, biology, chemistry, public health videos
Also a standard in school, science is one of those things that is ever-evolving. The scientific method is designed to update and correct itself, rather than a concept written in stone. It’s good to stay current on the world of science! You may also enjoy a playlist on our main channel, called “Kitchen Sink Clinic.”

As time goes on, and more people contribute, we hope to add electronics, mechanics, public health, and more! Keep checking back, or better yet, go subscribe to our Kitchen Sink University YouTube page!
